The PPPoE interface page also has a MAC Address field. I assume that the PPPoE connection is made using the MAC address of the em0 interface and not the PPPoE interface. So if spoofing is required in order to connect, the em0 MAC address would need to be changed and not the PPPoE interface's.

connection type called Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE). PPPoE is similar to a dial-up connection, but PPPoE does not dial a phone number when establishing a connection. It also will prov ide the router with a dynamic IP address to establish a connection to the Internet.

To begin we will need to start by hooking one of the computers directly up to the D-Link router. You can setup a D-Link router for PPPoE over the wireless but we recommend cabling the computer directly up to the router in any of the LAN ports if possible. As you can see below here are a few of the models that this tutorial will work for.

To configure the PPPoE credentials on the ZyXEL router you must first access the Web Interface (WebGUI). Access the WAN/Internet menu and change the connection type to use PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet) instead of the default “Ethernet” option. Enter the PPPoE username and password credentials and save the settings.
